Busy weekend...as in, I accomplished tasks.
My fellow employees and I had to design a shirt for work to promote the new "Body of Art" contest (p.s. I work at Aaron Brothers Art and Framing). So, I spent all day yesterday finishing up my design and getting a headache from all the wonderful Prismacolor markers and Sharpie fumes...and here she is:
(The buttons were my clever way of covering up a not-so-awesome idea.) If you want to win a bunch of bucks I would head over to the Aaron Brothers website and check out the contest--it's actually cool! (Go advertising!) I do have a question, has anyone used Prismacolors before on fabric? I'm afraid of them washing out or rapidly fading. Is there anything to make them more permanent, like ironing them? Thanks! I know it was a risky moving when I used them, but the colors were perfect for what I needed and I deem that reason enough to use them ^_^
I also accomplished carving my first stamp this weekend. Go me!
Meet Mr. Fujimoto, a very serious pug, who is going to be my star for the Pugs in the Park event in October down in Denver. I don't have any ink yet (I know, I'm prepared), so here's a clearer picture of what he looks like:
Daawww...he's so serious. I'm planning on printing him on fabric and lots of lots of things for my fellow pug obsessors ^_^
My binder from The Banana Paper Company finally got some love. I bought it because 1) It had a pack of banana paper already in it, and 2) It was awesomely naked for a drawing. So here it is all...pretty:
Head in the Clouds
I'm excited to bring her to school providing she won't get utterly destroyed in my bag.And that was my artsy weekend. I feel AWESOME. Plus, there's only three more days until Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World. I'm quivering with excitement.
